Camp laundry time…

Here’s my advice to you on this topic. Forget tackling all that smelly laundry your kids bring home with them from camp. It will take you days with that one washer and dryer you have. Instead, drop it off at The Lost Sock! Or even better, call us and we will come pick it up and bring it back a couple of days later all clean and ready to be packed away for next year. It will give you more time to spend with your little ones that you missed so dearly.

Nope, you can’t wash that.

Check your pockets before you throw your clothes in your laundry bag! The Lost Sock is not responsible for items left in your pockets. Pens, gum, candy, etc can be detrimental to your clothes. We do our best to check them before we wash, but sometimes we miss things. The following are some of the things we’ve found in your pockets + within your laundry: cell phones, cash, wallets, tv remotes, credit cards, gum, medicine, receipts, pens, crayons, toy cars, dog bones, food, and wine corks.

Before you drop off your laundry,
  • Separate your non-clothing items like sheets, towels, blankets, comforters, mattress pads, etc from the things you wear. There is sales tax charged on these items. Plus the large bedding items are charged per item (see Services page).
  • CHECK YOUR POCKETS! We are not responsible for items left in your pockets, we do out best to keep them from being washed, but it is possible we may miss something.
  • When you take off your socks, pull from the toes so they are not all inside out.
  • Separate laundry by whites, lights, darks and delicates if you have any.
  • Please tell us if you have any allergies, don’t want fabric softener, or certain items can’t go in the dryer.
  • AS SOON AS you drip pizza sauce on your shirt or spill coffee on your jeans, treat immediately! with club soda, spray and wash, dish detergent, a tide stick. The stain will have a better chance of coming clean out of the wash.
